Double-clicking on an AmiPro ".sam" file should bring up AmiPro, and load the document. This does not appear to work if AmiPro is running in anything but a full-screen Windows session. To fix the problem, change the Settings of your AmiPro program icon, change Session settings to full-screen Windows.
A usability issue that affects all Windows programs (not just AmiPro) is that OS/2 ignores the default directory setting of Windows program objects. One way to ensure that AmiPro starts up in a specific directory is to use AmiPro's Tools/User Setup/Paths menu to configure the default startup directory.
