Introduction

OS/2 Warp represents the first mass market PC operating system that packages internet connectivity tools out of the box. For many users, this is a very convenient way to get connected to the internet.

The internet is a huge network that spans nearly every corner of the world linking hundreds of thousands of computer systems and tens of millions of users. The internet is not just a network, but the network of networks.

What can the internet offer? You can access resources randing from public domain software to cooking recipes to current affairs news. You can send email to other internet users (and even non-internet users via mail gateways).

The trend is towards providing a friendly interface for users to access the internet. The Internet Connection in OS/2 Warp contains a variety of excellent GUI based internet tools. In these web pages, you'll see a virtual tour of the Internet Connection.
